Hospitality Challenge
Tapestry houses a download for The Hospitality Challenge, developed by Dr. Kemmerer, in the hope that more communities will have restaurants that offer clearly marked and priced vegan options on their menus. This initiative aligns with Tapestry’s interfacing approach to ethics and is designed to be duplicated in any community.
The Hospitality Challenge draws on the human values of hospitality and inclusivity—both are core values for business management. Roughly 70% of humanity is lactose intolerant, particularly people of Asian, African, South American, and Mediterranean descent. Hospitality and inclusivity require eateries to include labeled (with a green V) and priced items on their menus so that everyone may order food in the same way.
The Hospitality Challenge exponentially increased vegan options in Kemmerer's local community in just one summer—and it was easy. Tapestry hopes that others will give this initiative a try.
