Tapestry
Weaving a Kind and Peaceful World
Work at Tapestry follows three threads—Academics, In the Field, and The Arts.
Academics:
Learning and Sharing
Research is core to Tapestry’s work as we striving to place information in the hands of those best positioned to bring change for animals—animal studies scholars and students, animal activists, and in our religion program, people of faith.

In the Field: Loving Labor
Tapestry has several in-the-field projects. Our largest is The Hospitality Challenge (designed to be duplicated in any town), in which we ask eateries to add clearly marked and priced vegan options to their menus—this initiative exponentially increased local vegan options in one season. Tapestry also transports wildlife and helps out at local dog and cat shelters.

The Arts:
Art as Activism
Tapestry encourages and provides an example of art as activism—art designed to inspire kindness, bring justice, and build peace.
